Why Cabo is Perfect for Family Vacations

Posted on April 04 2016

Ah, Cabo- what’s not to love about Cabo? I’ve taken my family there multiple times as it’s a quick trip from Northern California and it’s so family friendly. I don’t have to worry about taking my boys with me. They’re welcome everywhere !

For family vacations, traveling to Cabo is perfect. There are many affordable homes for rent which is great as you get plenty of space and access to a full kitchen. We have even been able to rent homes with a pool and hot tub which is great for entertaining little ones. If you do rent a home in Cabo, be sure to ask the property manager about hiring a chef to come in and cook for you and your family. It is actually less expensive than taking everyone out to a restaurant and even more fun!

Cabo San Lucas is on the southern tip of Mexico’s Baja California peninsula and is known for its beaches, water-based activities and nightlife. Playa El Médano is Cabo’s main beach, with outdoor restaurants and numerous bars. Cabo and the surrounding areas have a nice mix of big, fancy resorts and small beaches that only the locals really go to. We found one, we dubbed "secret beach" as hardly anyone knows about it.  Past the marina is Land's End promontory, site of Playa del Amor (Lover's Beach) and El Arco, a natural archway in the sea cliffs. It is truly incredible to see in person!

My favorite days in Cabo are spent on the beach.  Nothing is better than making sand castles, playing in the waves and collecting shells with my boys all day.  We then top it off with a family dinner at one of the local Mexican restaurants. Chips and guacamole, followed by fresh fish tacos and a margarita can’t be beat!

I love the warm vibrant colors of the culture and landscape, which is why the new Vacay Cabo Collection incorporates the warm, red and orange hues of its namesake. And I love that I can bring the 5 items of the Cabo Collection and a couple of wardrobe essentials and have enough outfits for a week or more away from home. Now that packing is so easy, it is time to plan the next Vacay. If you have not been to Cabo, what are you waiting for? Just go!

We have been going on cruises for the past few years and the prettiest port in the Mexican Riviera is definitely Cabo San Lucas. We did the Arch excursion, and it was amazing. It’s beautiful in Cabo San Lucas. Lots of shopping and seafood too. You posted beautiful pictures,by the way. Thanks for sharing.
